Prof. Dr. Janne Cadamuro

Janne Cadamuro is Professor of Laboratory Medicine and head (Primar) of the University Institute of Laboratory Medicine at Salzburg University Hospital, with sites at the LKH and the Christian-Doppler-Klinik. He is a European Specialist in Laboratory Medicine (EuSpLM) and a co-founder of LabMed Alliance Inc., which advises healthcare institutions and diagnostic manufacturers on EQA, LIS implementation, regulatory strategy, and data-driven diagnostics.

His research and consulting focus on external quality assessment, preanalytics, laboratory informatics, and the responsible adoption of AI in laboratory medicine. He has authored 130+ peer-reviewed publications and lectures internationally on these topics.

He chairs the D4 Summit (Data Driven Digital Diagnostics) — the biennial conference that brings clinicians, data scientists, regulators, and industry to one table. Next edition: Salzburg, 11–12 September 2026.

Janne lives in Salzburg with his wife Evelin and their three children.
